It keeps histories and important landmarks of the Revolution of 1932 and of disputes for borders between the two states. A beautiful granite obelisk that sealed the peace in the region can be visited. Its people bring the characteristics of the good Minas Gerais and São Paulo people who share the same neighborhood. Natural attractions abound, there are sites that reflect the rich mining period in the region. There are also some arts and crafts workshops that are worth a visit. Águas da Prata YELLOW PATH The Yellow Path was conceived by Associação Prata Florida to guide visitors to Águas da Prata to contemplate nature, gardens and architecture of the city. Enjoy the urban riches on this light and gentle walk. TRAIN STATION The railway station was opened in 1886 under the name of Prata. The current building was built in 1919. The city originated from the station, developing itself as Estancia Hidromineral. For many years, the whole place was known as Estação da Prata. For some time after the suppression of passenger trains (1976), a tourist train was maintained, with irregular hours and only on weekends, which passed through here for a few years, until it finally ended in the 1990s. maintains the original style and crockery. There are very old lamps. The station is a living museum, really. Currently, trains carrying bauxite ore to Votorantim's Alumínio factory still pass on its tracks, sometimes with more than eighty wagons. The station was listed by CONDEPHAAT on March 20, 2018. Águas da Prata, “Here was born the Path of Faith”, inspired by the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. It offers infrastructure for pilgrims heading to the Sanctuary of Aparecida. The Caminho da Fé is approximately 2000 km long and provides moments of reflection and faith, health, sport and contact with nature. Take your picture here and take this beautiful souvenir with you. A Estância foi planejada pelo governo paulista no início do século 20 para tratamento com as águas minerais, a partir da descoberta do dentista Rufino Gavião em 1876. Em 1935 tornou-se uma Estância Hidromineral sendo desmembrada de São João da Boa Vista. Conta com boa estrutura receptiva, restaurantes, hotéis, pensões e fábricas de doces caseiros, laticínios, pousadas, hotéis, eco aventura, cultura, ciclismo e caminhadas. In 1935 it became a Hydromineral Resort being spun off from São João from Boa Vista. It has a receptive structure, restaurants, hotels, inns, pensions, traditional homemade sweets factories, dairy products, eco adventure, religious tourism, cycling and hiking. The highlight is the State Park, popularly called “Bosque”, where two of the city's many mineral water sources are located. Enjoy the urban riches on this light and gentle walk. CERAMIC FLOWERS GARDEN OF ARTISTIC INSTALLATIONS Local artists fashioned ceramic flowers with the aim of beautifying the city. With the free use of Ateliê Terra da Prata, it was possible to create a beautiful garden with beautiful ceramic flowers that decorate the city, showing the visitor one of Águas da Prata's vocations, handicrafts. Further on, you can see a beautiful sculpture, a red flower, created by the Italian sculptor, Claudio Dal Pazzoto, and delivered by Prata Florida to the city of Águas da Prata, on the occasion of the international women's day, on 03/08/08 2020 Walking a little further, the visitor comes across another installation by Prata Florida in partnership with Ateliê Terra da Prata. It is a reuse of a satellite dish, which was covered with beautiful ceramic flowers. 1/6 MUNICIPAL CITY HALL OF AGUAS DA PRATA Behind you is the City Council building. The home of the Pratense people is located in this beautiful historic building. The chamber's working hours are from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Enjoy the urban riches on this light and gentle walk. PILGRIM'S GARDEN This garden is the starting point of the Pilgrim of the Path of Faith, from Águas da Prata to Aparecida. Here the Pilgrim makes his prayer, renews his strength and makes his intention to reach the Basilica of the Patroness of Brazil in the city of Aparecida. Many people passed through here, took pictures and left in the hope of reaching the blessed land of the Mother of Brazil, Senhora de Aparecida. 1/2 OUR LADY OF LOURDES CAVE Behind you is the Nossa Senhora de Lourdes Grotto. In the grotto, full of leaves and flowers, above a koi pond, rests the image of Our Lady of Lourdes, reminding us of the apparition of Our Lady in France. Many make prayers and requests in front of the image and throw coins with the intention of seeing their requests granted. Esta rota tem as maiores altitudes da chegando 1.582 metros no Mirante da Lajinha, declividade que a pé, de bike ou de carro, as belas vistas são de perder o fôlego. O Mirante Azul é uma parada obrigatória para contemplação e agradecimento. Pela estrada rústica, os turistas vão poder passar por chácaras, sítios e fazendas antigas, por um viçoso trecho de Mata Atlântica, onde se observam pássaros e animais selvagens da região. The Mirante Azul is a mandatory stop for contemplation and gratitude. On the rustic road, tourists will be able to pass by farms, old farms and farms and through a lush stretch of Atlantic Forest, where birds and wild animals of the region can be observed. Essa rota da Estrada da Cachoeira é o acesso sanjoanense a Caldeira vulcânica pela Serra da Cachoeira, passando pelo bairro do Mamonal na Serra do Gavião que se encontra em grandes altitudes. Na parte baixa se encontra a Fazenda Cachoeira, fazenda histórica que tem como principais atrações as festas juninas, a igreja e Pedra do Violinista. Na parte mais alta encontra-se o Pico do Gavião que além do vôo livre avistam se muitas cidade de São Paulo e Minas Gerais. Waterfall/Mamonal Tourist Route Discover everything our region has to offer Photo: Silvia Ferrante/Photography Waterfall / Mamonal Old paths and farms This route starts from São João da Boa Vista towards Santo Antônio do Jardim and the access to the volcanic caldera at its highest point is on the Fazenda Cachoeira road. On this route there are many historic farms and, at Fazenda Cachoeira, there are lively June festivals and traditional fairs promoted by the local Diocese. Very close to this farm, you can see Pedra do Violinista. Going up along the way, you will find the Santa Cecília Waterfall and at the highest point you will reach Pico do Gavião with a visual experience of the grandeur of the volcano's caldera.
