Bairro Alegre
One of the oldest rural neighborhoods, now incorporated into the city, was created in 1896 whose local commerce supplied the region's residents, besiegers and farmers. It had its heyday in the coffee cycle and this strength is reflected in the architecture, with its small and imposing church surrounded by warehouses and houses. The route offers easy access to Águas da Prata and is popular for hiking, walking or cycling. Its main attractions are the popular festivals, Festa de Santa Cruz and lots of excitement in the late afternoons.
